A medium-weight cotton tee carrying the Shir-o-Khorshid — the Lion and Sun — as a single small crest over the left chest, and nothing else.
No wordmark, no back print, no explanation. The design is built on the assumption that the people who recognise it will recognise it at a glance, and everyone else will read it as a club crest.
The Lion and Sun has one of the longer histories of any emblem in the region. It grows out of medieval astrological imagery — the sun in the constellation Leo — appears on Seljuk and Safavid coinage and banners, and becomes the formal state emblem under the Qajars. The Pahlavi dynasty kept it and added their own crown above the lion, which is the version rendered here. It was removed from the national flag in 1980.
The Design Vision
Left-chest placement: Positioned where military insignia and club crests sit, which changes how the symbol reads — worn rather than displayed.
The crowned emblem: The lion with its sword, the rayed sun rising behind it, the Pahlavi crown above and a wreath framing the whole. Rendered in fine metallic gold detail at small scale.
Everything else left empty: No competing graphic anywhere on the garment. The restraint is the design decision — a crest this loaded doesn't need support.
Small enough to miss. Not if you know.
