A medium-weight cotton tee about a very specific kind of nostalgia: the glass mineral water bottle that turns up on every Iranian road trip, with an otter passed out on top of it.
The joke is gentle and the execution isn't. Front and back are one continuous idea rather than a graphic and a filler print.
Abali is a village on the Haraz road east of Tehran, up in the Alborz, best known for its ski slopes and its mineral spring. The water bottled there has been a fixture of the drive toward the mountains and the Caspian for generations — the thing you stop for, in glass, cold. The bottle is doing the remembering here. The otter is just enjoying it.
The Design Vision
The sleeping otter: The front has the animal stretched out asleep across the glass bottle, drawn warm and loose. It sets the entire register of the shirt before you read anything.
The cap on the back: The reverse carries the vintage bottle cap in detail, with lettering in both Latin and Persian script.
Amiri for the Persian: The Farsi is set in Amiri, a naskh-based typeface drawn from early twentieth-century Bulaq typography — a genuinely traditional letterform rather than a default Arabic system font.
Two halves, one object: Bottle on the front, cap on the back. The design assumes you'll be seen from both sides.
Everyone stopped there. Nobody remembers deciding to.
