Farvahar Emblem - Tee

One Path, Carved in Weathered Stone

A heavyweight cotton tee built around the Farvahar — the winged figure that has stood over Persian doorways, gateways and letterheads for two and a half thousand years without ever settling into a single agreed meaning.

The graphic is rendered as pitted, sun-bleached limestone rather than clean vector line, so it reads as a rubbing taken off a wall at Persepolis instead of a logo applied to a shirt.

The Farvahar is usually read as the fravashi, the guardian spirit each person carries. The ring at its centre is a covenant — a promise held to. The raised hand points upward, away from where you are standing. And the three tiers of feathers in each wing are traditionally counted as Pendar-e Nik, Goftar-e Nik, Kerdar-e Nik: good thoughts, good words, good deeds, in that order, because the sequence is the argument.

The Design Vision

• Stone, not ink: The figure carries a grained limestone texture with real weathering in it — chipped edges, uneven wear. It looks quarried rather than drawn.

• The line underneath: Persian script reading Rāh dar jahān yaki ast vān rāh-e rāstī ast — there is one road in this world, and that road is honesty. Set in a quiet weight so it grounds the wings rather than competing with them.

• Wingspan as structure: The wings run wide and dead-centre, which gives the whole graphic its symmetry and its weight. Off-centre, the symbol stops working.

• Sepia against any ground: Warm earth tones that hold up across the full colour range rather than being tuned to one shirt.
